2. Provide an additional space or allowance to each measurement that you have taken. This will be needed in order to wrap the cover around the sides and in the back part of the bench.
3. Get the polyester knit and cut it accordingly with the measurements that you have taken. Be sure that the color of the thread that you are going to use is the same as with the color of the knit.
4. Pin the elastic throughout the fabric and then sew the polyester knit in place. After that you can now remove the pins.
5. Drape or wrap the seat cover around the bench-seat fit it properly and mark the exact location of the seat belts using a fabric marker. Right after that, make a slit measuring about three inches where the marks are.
6. Fold the edges of the slits two times and sew it so that it will get fastened. Now you have a new bench seat cover for your car.
